Cecily Ray

Cecily Ray, is the daughter of David Parrish. She joined the business in 2013 as General Manager, but had previously worked summers in the vineyard and tasting room gaining hands on experience.
After graduating from the Academy of Art in San Francisco, with a BFA in photography, she applied her skill set to the business by creating the original logo and labels. She also began using her design and photography skills for marketing. Her photography is showcased in the tasting room with unique vineyard pieces as well as fine art.
In 2018, she decided to learn another art in the form of bread making. She took private lessons with the esteemed, Chef William Carter, of the beautiful Canyon Villa Bed & Breakfast. Chef Carter taught her how to bake sourdough and other artisan breads. It was through these lessons that she was able to offer the bread at the new tasting room, featuring sourdough from the Parrish's estate Cabernet Sauvignon grapes (an 8 year old sourdough starter) as well as focaccia.
Cecily worked 3 years as Culinary Director creating food offerings alongside her husband, Ethan Ray, to further the development of the culinary experience at Parrish. Today, Cecily focuses on operational support of multiple departments from the Tasting Room, Kitchen, Marketing, Events/Club, and Office. She assists her father in overseeing the day-to-day operations.
