2019 Silken
The 2019 Silken is a blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Syrah, and 18% Petite Sirah. This wine features rich aromas of dark fruit and is enhanced by chocolate, cherry, sweet licorice, and a hint of asphalt. On the palate, flavors of blueberry, blackberry, purple flower, and wood are enveloped in fine tannins. Full-bodied and intense, the wine has a smooth yet vibrant texture and a lingering finish. The 2019 Silken offers a dense core of black fruits and is best enjoyed from 2024 to 2036.

Vineyard Notes
2019 had a colder winter, a mild spring, and only a few summertime heat spikes. Overall, 2019 was a mild vintage allowing a longer hang time for the fruit. The Cabernet grapes are sourced from both the Adelaida District and our Templeton Vineyard, while the Syrah is exclusively from Adelaida, and the Petite Sirah is from Templeton.
